Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve done a first-time dive, it’s best to wait 12 hours before your next flight. If you’ve done a deep dive (18 metres or more), you should wait at least 18 hours.

It’s important to stay hydrated when diving. We can provide you with water, but it’s a good idea to bring a bottle of water yourself. Also, to keep the seats in our van clean, please bring a change of dry clothes to put on after the dive and, of course, a towel.
Nooo!! The taster session is your first experience in the water, and all we need is for you to feel comfortable in the water :)
Not at all – if you’re 100 per cent sure you want to become a certified diver, so are we.

What can you expect?

Once you click to book, your adventure with us begins.

On the day of your dive, you can come to our diving center where we will already have all your equipment ready to take you to discover the underwater world of Fuerteventura, but first there are a couple of things to cover:

to ensure your dive is safe and fun, we will explain in detail the guidelines you need to follow in order to descend to a maximum depth of 5 meters—enough to observe a wide variety of fish, rays, and, if you’re lucky, an “angelote” (angel shark), a distinctive shark from the Canary Islands (don’t worry, they are very harmless).

We’re about to dive in!

Once we’ve finished explaining the safety precautions, we’ll provide you with all the equipment you need for the adventure and head to the beach, where we’ll teach you the basic skills for your dive. Then we’ll be ready to explore the crystal-clear waters that will change the way you see the world.

This adventure is 100% personalized, in a 1:1 format (one certified instructor just for you), so you can enjoy maximum safety, confidence, and exclusive attention, in compliance with current regulations (Royal Decree 1188/2025)

Advanced Open Water Diver

React Right is SSI’s first aid and emergency response course, designed to provide you with the training and knowledge needed to act as a first aider in medical emergencies. This diving programme is completely flexible, allowing you to choose the topics that interest you most, such as primary care, first aid, CPR and primary stabilisation techniques.

You can also learn about automated external defibrillation (AED) and the administration of oxygen in diving emergencies.
